This is something I finished yesterday and it's a custom order. Customer asked for something "simple, to resemble brass, something with steampunk feel, but no glass or stones whatsoever".

Actually, at first I had somewhat different idea, which I still might develop sometime (there was glass included, so I had to drop it), but on the end decided to go simple as possible and this is the result.

This is really a notebook...50 very thin blank white pages of paper customer provided is bind inside. Book is 2 cm x1.8 cm size (that's around 0.78 x 0.70 in inches). Covers are made of tick cardboard, etched with decorations and then covered with mix of gold and bronze paint, to achieve brass like effect. Then etched once again, to deepen the decorations and covered with translucent protective film. This baby can go into water, if desired...well, at least covers can, I wouldn't recommend the same for papers, lol.
