contest “You Create a Room With A View” (link for this contest is down on this entry) and thrilled with chance to do something that will amuse me (sorta) I created this room…room from nightmare I had once. There’s a lot of symbolic and hidden meanings on this pic, but I won’t explain…

In case anyone wonders, model-ghost on the pic is…well, me. A very bad photo, made when I was particularly tired after a whole days work in the studio (that why those hideous pants…comfy for work, though)…incredibly, it came handy here…

I know this room- but I couldn't tell you why for the life of me.
As for being familiar...that bugged me through the whole process of making it
It felt/feels so familiar to me too...true, there's parts of my nightmares in there, like the tree, heart in the sphere and so on, but still...in this moment, I feel it would be appropriate to start whistling "Twilight Zone" theme
Although, I more would have been inclined to compare to "Nightmare Cafe" (short lived series, I'd be surprised if you heard of it)

I definitely know it, even had two episodes (pilot and another one) on tape, until sister re-taped it with Super Bowl or something...
For a kid I was those days, it was sooo cool to point at Blackie and repeat (endlessly, lol) : "It's Freddy Krueger!"

Okay- so you just went from "cool" to "AWESOME" in my book.
I can't believe I've FINALLY met someone else who's heard of that series. Dad and I would talk about it sometimes, and people would be like "wtf are you talking about?"
My favourite episode is the one with the murder that keeps being repeated over and over again- each time with details being changed. And all through it you can hear something clacking... At the end, you find out it's a guy in the backroom writing a novel.
LOL... Yep. I did the same with with that one... Also did it with Garak (from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)... Only, I start quoting Freddy lines when he would come on. Annoyed the CRAP out of my fellow DS9 watchers)
Yeah, I remember the episode very good...actually, I always believed it contained some kind of "seed" for two X-Files episodes: "Monday" and "Milagro" (this last more or less, just reminded me for some reason the first time I was watching it...
You know what else? I'm incredibly glad I found someone who actually knows who DS9 Garak is
