Snow...Glass...Apples...by ~Maylar

Traditional Art / Paintings / Other

Worked on this occasionally for last few months (with big breaks

).
Title is obviously similar to Neil Gaiman's "Snow, Glass, Apples" as theme reminds me on it...but idea came from my sister spilling the full bag of apples in our snow covered yard last December, which was a sight to remember. And cleaning after it.
Ravens are, of course, my personal touch and detail of choice

This painting also holds a secret.
Anyway, photo turned a bit blurry, original is clearer and some colors are lost (like moss green on the bottom of the tree, which I can't recover

). Hopefully soon I'll be able to make more professional looking version, until then, here's this one.

UPDT: Oh, yeah, and I forgot: it's oil on canvas...

UPDT no.2 : I’m amazed and glad people really digging for the secret of this painting. But, I also must tell you right away, there will be no hints (except those on the painting itself, of course). What a beautiful, thought-provoking painting.

Do the apples represent your living family (in the tree), and those who have passed (on the ground)? I still wonder at the mirror, and the apple it reflects.
