Ahoy, me mateys! Here be a poor scurvy pirate wit' his chest. Only a few doubloons be left spare from his wild days on Caribbean sea 'n a spider wit' its eggs inhabits th' rest 'o his chest, wavin' its webs. But, fear not...as thar's a treasure map, waitin', ready to take th' brave in hearts through th' maelstroms 'n waves 'n dangers untold, to th' treasures every scurvy pirate's heart would desire...
This is the miniature chest, made of real wood (pine). I chiseled the boards of out the big board, constructed the chest and painted with acrylics. All the metal parts, including doubloons, are gilded with gold leaf (18k) and the spider is polymer clay. The map is faux leather, drawn by hand. Size is 2 x 2 x 1.7 cm or 0.78 x 0.78 x 0.66 inch.
Of course, all is hand made, all from scratch. It took more than 25 h cause of that, but I think it was worth it Anyway, it is on my Etsy and if you want to see the video of it, there's a YT link down, too.
This is so amazing! I love how you made the spider's web, and the map is fantastic! I love how beaten and dented the doubloons look, and the hinge of the chest is also really great!
Amazing work (as always!).
I hope not, or I would feel obliged to pay the medical bill
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate that you like it
