Description

From the forests of Wonderland, he comes...prepare your Vorpal swords, ladies and gentlemen, as you will possible need it...Finally, Jabberwock is here ^^

This is based mostly on Tenniel's original work, all though I didn't followed it exactly...took the details I love (most of it), rest is my own vision ;)

For those who waited and inquired in the meantime, sorry guys, I wasn't feeling well...it bugged me too, so I'm happy to submit it now :)

Now, here's the details:

Figure is made of a special mix of different air dried clays and some other things, on the wire construction. I'm quite grateful to ~smakeupfx whose tut [link] changed some of my own approaches on wire construction, even I ended up mixing his and my own on the end. Still feel I owe a big thanks to this cool guy ^^

Back to details: Jabberwock is 12 cm high (4.7 inch) from the feet to the top of his head...15.5 cm with tentacles (6.1 inch) .

Everything here is done from the scratch.
Nails and teeth are made of fimo, eyes are hand painted and heat shaped plastic (for which I developed a special process ;) )...wings are made of special mix of same clay used for body and PVA, which makes them semi-transparent even after painting (unfortunately, this is barely visible on photos, as I didn't have enough light).

Painted with my own mixture of oil based paints and after drying, some "make-up" is done with pastel powders...finished with semigloss protective finish.

Ugh, I hope that's all...if I forgot something or you wanna know something I haven't say about this, feel free to ask.

And on the end, sorry for small photos...more detailed photos or photos of details (both) are available here: [link]

Now, I hope you like it ^^

Great figurine! . . . but I have this strange urge to roll up a newspaper and whack it!
