Inside the Dreamby ~Maylar

Just a little something I carved yesterday.

The general idea was something picked up from a dream, a seed of a strange plant I've seen...anyway, I wanted something you can lose yourself in it, some kind of labyrinth, something to make your mind travel inside and out...and here we are.

Cherry wood, around 3.5 cm on highest places, it is made from a single piece of wood, no glued parts (as one of my friend's suggested). Sanded on the end, no finish for now...probably will just cover it with linen oil.

It took me good twelve hours to carve, stretched on two days (I'm far, far from a professional skill

). Borrowed my sister's chisels and since she hadn't anything small enough when it came to finer parts, had to sharpen some of the smallest screwdrivers I have, to finish it

Also, managed to hurt my hand while doing it, so all in all, it wasn't an easy piece to make...still, for me, definitely worth of all the trouble too. So I'm already thinking about something similar
