For as long as I remember, glass vials like this were the part of my life...for me, they mostly represent something unpleasant, as I'm mostly being injected with their contents.
However, few years ago, I decided not to see only the dark side of this, but to use it for something nice...so that started my little "fairytales in the glass" series.
It was all few years ago and before I was on dA...all "fairytales" from that time were given to friends and acquaintances and some of them got broken, some lost and some still stand, but too far away for me to take photos or video of it. It was the time before I had the camera, too.
Anyhow, recently, I thought about remaking this series, just for joy of turning vials into something nice. Don't know how much time I would have for this, as every vial demands long hours of work, but still, I started, and I started with "Cinderella", as a friend reminded me on this fairytale.
Figurines are made of PVA glue and in some cases (like carriage), have wire construction inside. Carriage is some 3 mm high (around 0.11 inch), rest wasn't measured, but every human figure can stand on the pins head. There's silver paint applied here and there.
So here you have it...the first in this series and hopefully, not the last. Time will tell.
For now, I'm sorry for the quality of the photos...my camera is not the best with small things and it tends to blur it or lose the details. It did it here the worse way possible. That is why I included a traced image of the whole scene too, so you can at least have some idea how it really looks. I know it is not a solution, but for now it has to work.
You can see it a bit better on the video, here: [link]
Oh! How wonderful! It's like you've captured the story in a bottle to save for latter and when you open it up, the story comes pouring out and srounds you and suddenly you're PART of the story!
Ahh, once I had a "Little Mermaid" plans! Thanks for reminding me, as soon as I find the time for this, I think the next one WILL be a little mermaid ^^
wow! very nice! its cool how you're able to make something like this and i bet it took forever to do this. i would ending up throughing if i cant get it right xD
Thanks you (sorry for replying so late ). It takes some time, but it's quite enjoyable...unless when it turns out nerve-wrecking, lol. But I love doing it
i really want to see the little mermaid in there . just in case maybe you would make it
