I was seriously tempted to put this into mixed media, as it is basically a set: book, skull and the candle. But as I don't want to be to picky...

This is a commission work, basically the second "Alchemy Book", but this one is smaller than the first one which was around 2.5 cm in height. This one is 1.8 x 1.5 cm (0.70 x 0.59 inch) and it fits the 1:12 scale.

Book is saddle stitched, hard cover and leather bound. Gilding is done in gold paint. Headband and bookmark are hand-weaved. There's 35 pages, covered in various alchemic symbols, plus enpapers. All pages were dyed in earl grey tea and artificially damaged to resemble old age and weariness from use. Book was imagined to be in a burning library once, so there's burn marks and stains all over too. Covers were treated in a similar way, burned places and "dirt" everywhere.

Skull 2.2 cm in height, polymer clay. Candle is real white wax candle. Both in scale.

I love this book, all the art on the little pages, symbols for elements. I like the attention to details here, and the scull is a nice touch. The damage and burn marks look very good.

The candle is super cute, that must have been tricky to make.
