A present for a friend's birthday. I fear this hasn't really turned out how it supposed to.

10th Doctor isn't my favorite (rather third favorite, I think), but my friend likes him the best, so here we are :) One of these days, I might try drawing 4th and 11th Doctor as well, just for my own amusement ;)

This is digital work, of some ten or twelve hours (I'm painfully slow in PS, still :( ) and done by three different video stills, instead of one reference photo. Regarding that, it turned out pretty well, but I still have the feeling he looks younger than he should be there and, well, a bit more serious than usual. Oh, well...my friend liked it, so... :)

I simply loved his as the Doctor. And look forward to the 50th anniversary special where he comes back with Billie Piper :D

He was my first Doctor. So he holds a very special place in my heart. Still, I love each of them. My friend and I are watching the episodes of the first Doctor and he is still the same awesome guy. ^_^

I feel similar...you see, Tom Baker was my first Doctor, I watched re-runs as a mere toddler, lol. So he's not only my favorite, he's kind of my childhood hero, as well. I loved all the others later, too, but...

When the series is continued in 2005, I didn't watch it at first...life too busy and I also felt it wouldn't match my inner child criteria. So skipped it altogether, until a friend made me watch last few episodes with David Tennant...and he didn't made an impression on me then, as I was back with the story and watched halfheartedly.

But then the first episode with Matt Smith came and his Doctor instantly clicked with what I wanted to see...I was fan of the new series in the matter of moments and Matt immediately grew on me. But when the first season with him was over, I had nothing to do and thought: why not watch some previous episodes? And that's how I got to appreciate Tennant truly and quite like his Doctor as well.

They're all good, in their way. They're all "Doctor" after all and all gave something important, added a new facet or few to the character. :D

I agree with you completely. I didn't start watching it when I was young, but I was surfing through channels one day and Scifi was showing The Library episodes along with a marathon. I immediately fell in love with the show. And I immediately loved Tennant. ^_^
And Mat is an amazing Doctor. I'm really going to miss him.

Ah, The Library. Such a great episode and Tennant was incredible in it :D
