Tired, she moves her hand to turn off the light, yawning and stretching. The book on her knees is a good one, but the day behind was long and tomorrow will probably prove even longer. She needs the rest.
Accidentally, her hand brushes the glass jar standing beside the lamp and the jar dangerously sways over the edge of bedside table, just to be caught in the last minute. She stays in the same position, awkwardly twisted with the glass in her hand, holding breath from shock. Then exhales with relief and replaces the jar into its place.

and now neatly tied and left for safe keeping.

Drunk on emeralds
we laughed and then cried,
then buried our pain
down in dark tide.
You were my air
and I was your wine,
while the drugged stars danced
over night sky...
Your clever fingers
dug through my scars,
and I stitched your wounds
with the touch of mine.
Lips mixing in tastes
of wormwood and wild thyme
ripped hearts, souls torn,
in bodies of quicklime.
We danced,
you of blood and fire.
We danced,
me of blood and moonlight...
And then the dawn killed the night
and we lost our fight...
Light scorched our bones
